How to Tell if This Seal Fits Your Pump

Astral GNTEC / Notos Drive-End Endshield Seal — Part 40808

This seal suits Astral pumps that use a GNTEC or Notos electric motor. If you’re not sure what motor your pump has, here are the quick checks:

 1. Check the Motor Label

Look at the sticker or plate on the back or side of the motor. If it shows any of the following, this seal is correct:

• GNTEC
• Notos
• Codes starting with GNT…
• Astral/Hurlcon replacement motor using a GNTEC motor body

If the motor label says EMG, CMG, Leroy Somer, WEG, or DAB, this is not the right seal.

2. Check the Shape of the Endshield

Remove the back cover or look at the drive-end plate.

This seal fits the flat-face GNTEC endshield with:

• A smooth aluminium face
• A small recessed pocket where the seal sits
• No rubber boot around the seal
• A simple push‑in style seal (not a large rubber‑encased one)

If your endshield has a deep recess, a rubber boot, or a wide black seal, you likely need a different part.

3. Pumps That Commonly Use This Seal

If your pump is one of these, there’s a very good chance this is the correct seal:

• Astral E‑Series (E25, E35, E50, E75)
• Astral CTX Series
• Astral FX / FX2
• Older Astral Viron P300 / P350 (pre‑EC motor models)
• Astral/Hurlcon generic replacement motors using GNTEC bodies

Production years vary, so always confirm using the checks above.
